If it's not too much trouble, I've occasionally thought it would be nice to know how things are in Avondale, Colorado (you might have to ask for Pueblo, 15 miles away), and Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island (Do they give you Canada?), the places where I've visited my cousins.

BTW, Trusty, when you get back, there has been enough talk about Traverse City that I think more people then just me might find it interesting. Some of our Michiganders might even occasionally find it useful.
(Would you think it a good idea to modify reply#1 and include it there? Or maybe wait a while and see if there are other requests, and put them all together in another list?)

I went ahead and included it in the big list. --- If anybody wants to add a location, you can go to www.wunderground.com (weather underground), or www.weather.com (The Weather Channel), type in your location or zip code, and copy & paste the site to a post. (I probably need to change the international cities to the Weather Channel because it has radar. It's just that the layout at Weather Underground is so much more friendly.)

I was satisfied with the results for Charlottetown, PEI, but I'm confident Weather Channel would be okay, too. Any link that gives any easy way to pop in and see what's happening is much more convenient than having to find the page from scratch on my own.

In the summer, when the sunlight is on the waters of Grand Traverse Bay, it is every shade of blue and green, every bit as gorgeous as any of the tropical beaches.... I love living in Indiana again...but Michigan still feels like home, too. Can you add Winona Lake, Indiana? that's where I am. Someone might find it fun to see what the weather on the island is like (besides me, that is... )

Gracie, Winona Lake is already on the list. Please check again. Tillie, Bali Hai is actually Tioman Island off the coast of Malaysia just north of Singapore. (Now, THAT was a challenge!)

Shangri-La is a fictional place which has become synonymous with any earthly paradise but particularly a mythical Himalayan utopia — a permanently happy land, isolated from the outside world. The weather in Shangri-La is exactly what you want it to be.

I saw something bizarre today.
The Christmas Lights in Maidenhead were being installed between the lamp-posts in the town centre.
The lamp-posts were still adorned with vivid flowering hanging-baskets, aided and abetted by the recent rain but still very mild weather.
Nearly November, our clocks go back this weekend (useful for listening to PHC) but I still haven't needed to resort to warmer clothing.
This weather report has been brought to you by the Sleep Number Bed Co.UK.
Number being more numb rather than a #.
Guess who does cryptic crosswords!
Rain expected all day tomorrow but Sunday looks to be the only chance to cut the grass - for the last time this year I hope.

You have it within your power to make Sunday's grass-cutting the last time this year.

Very interesting that you are predicted to have rain tomorrow. Same here.
Makes you wonder if all those maps are fakes and we're only 100 miles or so apart and flights across the Atlantic "Ocean" are so long because the pilots fly up and down the northeast coast of Canada until they've spent enough time.

Today, past the first week of December, the temperature is about fifty degrees. And the sun is shining.
I spent a little while soaking it up on the deck with a tee-shirt on, drinking tea and yelling at my next door neighbor to come over. It's sometimes our Saturday habit in the warmer months.
It is good.
Then there is that issue of the hibernating and estivating creatures, the supposed-to-be dormant plants and the odd habits of Minnesotans running around in summer clothes. Yes we do!
The sun felt so sweet. Hope I got a little sunburn on my face.
A couple of days ago I saw a college-aged guy jogging in shorts with gloves on. "Most peculiar Momma."
Those oddly out of season disturbances are not so good for living things which are accustomed to be cold and bitter for half the year.
Not to mention that dogs visit with doggie gifts in the yard. If I can figure out their last names I do the little plastic baggie thing and return the gift to the owners' yards. No arguments; no fights, just a subtle reminder that we should soil our own nests!
The neighbor's enormous white male cat, Beeper, visited today and really irritated my girls. Guess he's confused about the season as well.

The MO is out with his former group of construction people hunting ducks and peasants. Yes. That is what his note read, "peasants."
I called his cell phone and gave him a hard time ala Monte Python about peasants who hide behind bushes and think you don't know where they are. BOOM!
Wonder if they had a hidden bottle back there as well. Are there roses?
Sorry to seem so strange but you have to have time to read all the threads to get these references.
They go to one of these "wild creature" farms and he comes home with several bags of cleaned and sealed birdies. It's like shooting fish in a barrel. The owners will make sure you get your money's worth. It seems ugly to me.
Then they all have a wild game feed before they come home. Sure that it is a fun thing for him to be with his old working pals and maybe some conflictual. Bet he'll never tell me!
But then I used to walk the railroad track with Dad hunting pheasants and go out to the dump to shoot rats. I just liked being with Dad and doing Dad things.
Not sure The 'rat even brings home anything he kills as his heart is pretty tender in spite of acting like it isn't. I'll just bet he shoots into the sky. But everybody gets something and they are tasty. Glad I don't have to see the carnage. Creatures.
I'm so glad I don't live in a culture where I'd have to provide protein to my family because I'm sure that I would do it and wouldn't want to.
Black beans and rice I suppose.
I've heard that beans scream when you pick them. Argh.

Never sure how I can get from weather to peasants and killing small creatures or veggies.

So now I'm getting a bit worried about my pond fish. They are closed up in the dark and it really should be some colder for them to be dormant.
I think the pond environment is balanced enough that should they need a snack there is growing stuff in there. But I look out the window and hope they are comfortable.
Can't wait to see them in the spring. They are so excited when they have their first few days of sunshine.
The weather. . .
