Of course the show is about sperm, it's Father's day in the States tomorrow, but still. My ten year old is an avid listener. I feel sorta weird sitting next to him during these songs/scripts.

Swim up the vagina?!!!! This is pushing my tolerance. I mean, it's not all that G-rated, is it?
Or am I the only prude?

I'm no prude either but I thought I had misheard.

Thanks, slb. Sometimes I wonder if I'm the only one who might be occasionally offended.

I wonder how many stations were switched during this number?

As usual i'm a page behind. Didn't you like that little play on words - "when they call you, you come?"

Yeah, well, any man can be a father. What we need are more dads.

We learned that song in German. I can't spell the words - does anyone remember it? Something like Wenn ich komm, wenn ich wiederung komm.." Help! Had nothing to do with a wooden heart that i can remember. Elvis Presley recorded it when he was stationed in Germany. (words & music by wise - weisman - twomey - kaemfert) Can't you see I love you Please don't break my heart in two That's not hard to do 'cause i don't have a wooden heart And if you say goodbye Then i know that i would cry Maybe i would die 'cause i don't have a wooden heart There's no strings upon this love of mine It was always you from the start Treat me nice Treat me good Treat me like you really should 'cause i'm not made of wood And i don't have a wooden heart Muss i denn, muss i denn Zum stadtele hinaus Stadtele hinaus Und du, mein schat, bleibst hier? There's no strings upon this love of mine It was always you from the start Sei mir gut Sei mir gut Sei mir wie du wirklich sollst Wie du wirklich sollst 'cause i don't have a wooden heart

gk, I definitely enjoyed the song and lyrics, but it's sorta uncomfortable sitting next to my pre-teen son as we listen.

Hmm, and I'm the priest in the crowd. I don't find the song the least bit offensive. Not very good. Not very interesting. Certainly in poor taste for a mixed audience. But definitely not offensive. And I most sincerely heartily hope the ten year old knows exactly what it's about and doesn't care, which is what it sounds like.

I can't blame you, slb, and this whole schtick is really for grown-ups only. Maybe you could send your son to get cokes or something. Thanks, Taz! Nothing like what I thought, but vaguely familiar. German classes were more than 40 years ago ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

Think it's a little late to go for cokes, gk. By now he's probably ready for a cigarette.

Well, Ace and I will end up getting razzed about sex later on when 10 y.o. uses some of the same phrases he just heard GK sing. So, no, I don't like it in that sense. We'll tell 10 y.o. that it's not appropriate, but he's already heard an adult make crude jokes, so why can't 10 y.o. make those same jokes? I mean, this is family time radio, isn't it?

I started wondering about him and google came through with more than anyone could want. A cowboy from Brooklyn.
As Jack recalls, "I was born on a 45,000 acre ranch in the middle of Flatbush." Most of us refer to this particular ranch as Brooklyn, New York. He was raised there as Elliot Charles Adnopoz starting August 1, 1931 and remained contented enough until he saw his first rodeo — Gene Autry and the blacklit bulls of Madison Square Garden. Elliot's young heart leaped to a world where big grins replaced his grammatically-inclined mother.

Prudence cut? That's outrageous. The opera singer better not get cut. I need lovely tunes.

Hi, DW!
I agree a bit thin and using vibrato to cheat on a long true note, but excellent potential.
