Joe, my mother would not let me go see the production of "Hair" when I was still living at home. Good for her!

Don't think we're thinking of the same song, joew. Van Morrison wrote a song titled "Into the Mystic". But now I'm curious as to the one you're thinking of...no one picked up on "To Sir with Love" which does have the lyric line about moving the students from crayons to perfume. Booklady got my clue. Spoiler Alert— I was thinking of "Age of Aquarius" which mentions "mystic [something] revelations." Mystic crystal revelations and the mind through liberation Aquarius Aquarius..... (at least, this is how I always heard it!)

I don't know this song, but it's in the current vernacular of what's hip, which is not me.
I'll be your dream I'll be your wish I'll be your FANTASY I'll be your hope I'll be your love Be everything that you need. I love you more with every breath Truly madly deeply do..

That should be "The mind's true revelation,..."
I saw "Hair" on my honeymoon. The original. That is, the original Hair, not the original honeymoon. I was quite stunned by the nudity though I tried to be oh, so cool. When my children were small, they loved the soundtrack--loved it so much that we had a rule that they could only play the soundtrack of "Hair" once a day and the soundtrack of "West Side Story" once a day. Then my younger daughter's first year in college, she was in "Hair." To see my baby on-stage in black fishnets and a leather mini-shirt singing, "Black boys are delicious, chococolate covered love..." was one of those moments that mothers truly dream of. After "Hair", Annie decided she was born into the wrong decade, and her dreads and deadhead days began...
Now, back to the regularly scheduled thread....

Do I get an extra an extra point since the word "TEMPTATION" is in the title AND the lyrics? No ma'am. Title doesn't matter. Come to see, victory in a land called fantasy, Loving life, for you and me, to behold, to your soul is ecstasy You will find, other kind, that has been in search for you, Many lives has brought you to Recognize its your life, now in REVIEW And as you stay for the play, fantasy, has in store for you, A glowing light will see you through E,W & F - Fantasy

And who are E,W, and F? Maybe Egbert, Winston and Fauntleroy? I remember ELO.
When do we get to challenge Trusty on this song?

Darn. I got so excited when I saw someone had posted here...... I thought you'd come up with a song.
E, W, and F are Earth, Wind, and Fire.
I've been thinking of Broadway show tunes, military marches, and political songs trying to find something that might need the word "review."

Fagin sings this in the musical Oliver:
I'm reviewing the situation Can a fellow be a villain all his life? All the TRIALS and tribulations! Better settle down and get myself a wife. And a wife would cook and sew for me, And come for me, and go for me, The fingers, she will wag at me. The money whe will take me. A misery, she'll make from me...

I'm willing to accept "reviewing" just to get rid of that danged word, but I thought Trusty specified it had to be THE word and not a form of it.
Hush little baby don't you cry, You know your mama was born to die All my trials, Lord, SOON be over....

After spending an hour on Google, I can't find a song with "review" in it either, so let's break the rules - just this time.
I'll take Danno's song for TRIALS and bookie's song also.
The current word is SOON.
(Annnnnddddd..... if anyone ever pops up on this thread with a bona fide song that has the word "review" in it (except for the EW&F one), give yourself 5 extra points! ;D)

Now, as for SOON: "Katmandu," by Cat Stevens
Katmandu I´ll soon by seeing you And your strange bewildering time Will hold me down

Drunk last night Drunk the night before Gonna get drunk tonight like I've never been drunk before Cause when I'm drunk I'm as happy as can be For I am a member of the Souse family
Singing glorious, GLORIOUS One keg of beer for the four of us Glory be that there are no more of us For one of us could drink it all alone.

Darling you, send me I know you, you send me Darling you, you send me Honest you do, honest you do Honest you do, honest you do
Darling you, you thrill me I know you, you thrill me I know you thrill me Honest you do, honest you do Honest you do
At first I thought it was INFATUATION But ooh well it lasted So very, so very, so very long Now I find myself wanting you And marry you and take you home
Otis Redding (I love this song, it's one of my mantras)

Third boxcar, midnight train Destination - Bangor, Maine. Old worn out clothes and shoes, I don't pay no union dues. I smoke old stogies I have found, Short but not too big around. I'm a man of means by no means, KING of the road.

I may not be rich, that doesn't mean a thing the treasure is you, I feel like a king, I'm living on the love your presence bring Our love is the only GOLD Our love is the only gold and I'm a wealthy man.

Music by Elton John Lyrics by Bernie Taupin
I hope the day will be a lighter HIGHWAY For friends are found on every road Can you ever think of any better way For the lost and weary travellers to go
Making friends for the world to see Let the people know you got what you need With a friend at hand you will see the light If your friends are there then everything's all right
It seems to me a crime that we should age These fragile times should never slip us by A time you never can or shall erase As friends together watch their childhood fly (My sister had this album and I've always loved it.)

Thanks slb!!
Oh God said to Abraham, "Kill me a son" Abe says, "Man, you must be puttin' me on" God say, "No." Abe say, "What?" God say, "You can do what you want Abe, but The next time you see me comin' you better RUN" Well Abe says, "Where do you want this killin' done?" God says, "Out on Highway 61."
(slb, I can go you one better on the Friends album, which I did have and played the grooves out of. I actually saw the movie.)

Which word should be capitalized? I don't wanna wait until Books gets home from school! (slb, I can go you one better on the Friends album, which I did have and played the grooves out of. I actually saw the movie.) Um, this is friendly competition, right? Modified to add: oh, nevermind (about the capitalization part.)
