I'm just hoping and praying we make it without getting hit this year. I've had enough. It feels worse here than in little ol' Jensen Beach when we get a storm.

Flash back from the original airing:

My end is fine, but I'm afraid the street dance folks and crew are getting hammered by rain at the moment…
Summer was great - the cruise was nice but grueling; we had some free time between then and now so I got to catch up a bit….

Gee I looked at that storm and thought you were pretty well east of it, but I am glad you are doing OK. Though kind of hard on the back, all those wheelbarrows!
My grandparents are gone now but they lived for decades on Perdido Bay, postal address was Foley or Lillian, AL, very close to where the hurricane made landfall.
Oh Dusty & Lefty! So good to hear them again. Once when Howard and I were in Prescott, AZ for an Ian Tyson concert we had dinner at this restaurant that had a big mural of Dusty and Lefty. Way cool!

This show is not the one I attended - we didn't have any rain on the street dance so we were lucky.

The eye went in about 200 miles (highway miles) from me, but it wobbled closer once inland and the feeder bands many miles away brought us lots of rain for a day.

My sister in Panama City got plenty of rain. She had water coming in her back bedroom, not because she was flooded, but the wind blew the rain in on top of the slab, and under the wall. If they don't get any more rain you guys will still have the high water coming down the rivers from GA. The Gulf Coast needs a break.

I looked at the "tweet" thread and found June 25 on page 229 but I didn't post anything there about the Tanglewood show. Will have to check some other threads.
And further back for the season opener that I attended. My heart hurts a little from those older posts.
Well, The News will make me feel better.

Jay my recollection from when we lived in Crescent City is that the hurricanes weren't nearly as bad compared to the effects when we lived on the coast. Though as DW points out, the floods can be a problem worse than the wind.

I already can't remember what all the medical acronyms stand for.
And I could use that Who's Who app also.

Jay my recollection from when we lived in Crescent City is that the hurricanes weren't nearly as bad compared to the effects when we lived on the coast. Though as DW points out, the floods can be a problem worse than the wind. Oh, we were hit very hard twice in 2004 with Frances and Jean, two weeks apart. Then Wilma got us from the west in 2005. Certainly, more damage than I've seen here. But there was more feeling of kinship and neighborly concern in Jensen than in this major metropolitan area. Being in the middle of a large, decimated, urban area is the sh-ts. It got a little ugly here at the beginning of the virus with all the supply line disruption.

Outside of war-torn Afghanistan, I have never seen anything like the devastation caused by Camille and Katrina in New Orleans - places were unrecognizable, GONE. At least in Crescent City, even out on the St John's where we lived, we never saw anything like Camille or Katrina. Thank goodness.

In one of his very recent emails, GK described the show that will appear/be broadcast via his website or Facebook page, I forget which. I'll see if I can find the original communication and figure out how to post a link to it.
See ya on the radio!
