At least GK seems to remember his song this week, ha ha, unlike when he did the Mother's Day song and the band was lost.....

Doggone, dw, that's right. Thanks for reminding me. How about catching up; how was Mothers' Day for all you Moms?

My Mother's Day was pretty nice. We ordered a whole dinner from HoneyBaked Hams, so we didn't have to contend with crowded restaurants, or cooking at home.
Our youngest was home, and the other two called and checked in. Flowers and candy from hubby.

I had a senior moment. I thought he was referring to Carrie Underwood. Carrie R was great!

Mother's Day was nice here, too. My kids went out of their way to make it special, I know in part because this was my first Mother's Day without mine. Talked to sisters and reminisced. Had in-laws over for dinner. A nice day.

Reformed here, itma. I remember my old anatomy instructor; he'd show us the slides of smoker's lungs from autopsies.

Well, you just puff away, gail, that's perfectly OK. It's legal and it's your right, if you want to. And we can use your parking place.

No smokers in our household.
Defied the odds - both my parents, and both my in-laws smoked.

In Ireland they banned smoking in "enclosed spaces" a year or more ago.
Scotland introduced the same ban last year, Wales brought the law in earlier this year and in England the ban comes into place on July 1st.
It applies to all buildings. There is a rumpus going on about Westminster Abbey. Political correctness gone too far methinks.

Well, you just puff away, gail, that's perfectly OK. It's legal and it's your right, if you want to. And we can use your parking place. When I took Healthcare Economics, we had to review a study that demonstrated that the "sin" taxes paid by smokers more than covered their costs. Twasn't the same for alcohol.
