Hiya folks. I won't be joining you live tomorrow night as we have Theatre Tickets to see "The Producers" by Mel Brooks. I notice that I did not chat when this originally aired either, but no clue what I was doing that night!! This week’s classic show from April 6, 2013 was performed live at The Town Hall on West 43rd Street in New York City. With special guests, New Orleans soul prince Aaron Neville and singing siblings the DiGiallonardo Sisters. Plus, the Royal Academy of Radio Actors (Tim Russell, Sue Scott, and Fred Newman), the Guy’s All-Star Shoe Band, and the latest News from Lake Wobegon. www.prairiehome.org/shows/47361.html?Leave some good comments!

The DiGiallonardo Sisters — Daniela, Nadia, and Christine — started singing together when they were kids Brooklyn. They still call Brooklyn home, and they still love stacking up those three-part harmonies. Now, Daniela teaches social studies at Brooklyn's Mark Twain Intermediate School for the Gifted & Talented; Nadia is a pianist, composer, arranger, and singer; and Christine is a singer and actor whose credits include Two Gentlemen of Verona (Shakespeare in the Park Festival).
Safe to say, Aaron Neville has a voice like no other. As one reviewer so aptly put it, “When Neville opens his mouth, out floats a heavenly choir.” Growing up in the Crescent City, he and his siblings harmonized on the tunes of the day. They would later form the Neville Brothers, often called “the first family of New Orleans music.” Since his first hit single, “Tell It Like It Is,” Aaron Neville has ventured into R&B, gospel, soul, country, and more. His latest album is Apache (Blue Note), a collection of 11 tunes, all stamped with his unmistakable style. Joining him for this performance are Curtis King and Fonzi Thornton.

Thanks for posting the link DW. Having done a few hours of heavy duty Swedish Death Cleaning, I'm good for resting up while I listen, maybe do some easy paperwork sorting. Free shredding week at the bank next week!
Have a great time at "The Producers"!

Yes, the New Orleans street is pronounced "Kally - Ope" though when you studied classic literature, you pronounced Calliope differently.
You should take a guess at how to say Tchoupitoulas Street when you visit NOLA.

Hey, doc. I admire your persistence with the cleaning and shoveling out. It's a nasty job. Sitting at H&R Block doing our part to keep our mighty ship of state afloat. Enjoy, sounds like a good show. Can't go wrong with the DiGis.

Can't go wrong with the DiGis. Yes, after all those cruises I got to where I could tell them apart! Plus they were great at those Tanglewood Shows, remember?

My goal on the cleaning is to 1) Move no more than the equivalent of a 10 foot U-Haul truck back east 2) Pare down so that the kids don't have a ton of stuff to wade through when I die - it would be so hard for them to tell what's significant and what to toss, there is so much stuff. I have quite a bit of stuff from when my mother died, things my parents collected starting in the 1930's and 1940's. That's a lot.
I spend several hours every day on heavy work, then maybe another hour or two or three on sorting papers - lots to toss but need to separate anything confidential like papers with SSN, bank records, medical info, etc.
You probably had to go through the same thing before you moved.

True dat - there is a section of NOLA where they sound like they are from Brooklyn. Since we once moved from NYC to New Orleans thinking it was "the South," I was really surprised when they sounded just like the New Yorkers I've left behind!

Kudos to our friend Thomas! Thanks for making these great shows transmit to us!
OK, I'm either heading to more Death Cleaning or TCM. Y'all have a good weekend!
