Yeah, I found available seats on the floor, middle sections 4&5, granted, they're at the back. I'm trying it on my phone and having trouble actually selecting the seating. I might give it a try later on my desktop. Where are you? I didn't buy a ticket yet, as I am still deciding. I think the Ryman is small enough that even seats "in the back" are still pretty good. And much easier to find at the primary site if you are buying just one seat, compared to the secondary market which often sells only 2 or more seats. On Bramily, one can sometimes find a really good single seat because someone who bought 2 or more and one person in the party had to cancel last minute. And by the "rules" there no one asks over the face value (often it is much lower for a last minute salvage), because if you do, then someone will tell Brandi and then she will know what a Bad Person you are!

I do have a crock pot but it is in North Carolina and I am in Washington the State. I think the Insta-Pot can serve as crock pot if I bothered to figure it out, and using a crock pot in the Florida heat definitely has advantages. It almost never gets really hot here in western Washington, though last summer was an exception that broke all records. We'll see what this summer brings. Maybe the Insta Pot has a toll free help line?? They might, plus there are videos online, but if it is that complicated, well I don't that it's worth it. I'm not that patient.

what will we be like when we are in our 90's? Life is complicated enough already.. lol. Pretty soon you will only be able to make ticket purchases on your watch and everything will be cooked in a box that has more buttons than current microwaves!

When Amber and I went to Brandi's private solo show in DC last December, it was very tightly controlled because of rising Covid rates. Only the person who bought the tickets could pick them up at the show, and you had to show proof of Covid vaccination, the credit card used for the purchase, and the ID to prove you were that person.
And when I took Gen and Deidra to see Brandi at The Gorge last summer, the StubHub tickets turned out to be fraudulent. LiveNation sold me 3 better seats right on the spot and then StubHub refunded every single penny I paid for all 4 tickets. I actually made money on the deal, over $600, because they were face value, no fees and I had originally bought 4 tickets, but Howard chickened out at the last minute because of the heat.

Doc have you any thoughts about the growing number of flight delays or outright cancellations this Summer? I may get a job for a meeting in Washington DC but what I am reading online gives me serious pause about how to plan my flights... thousands of flights being cancelled for various reasons ..

I think I got too many ailments to live that long but you never know. I'd probably use the 2030's - 2040's version of "Hello Fresh" or similar meal delivery service.

An older friend of mine got one of those meal delivery services, had to buy a few months worth to get any bargain.. it was much simpler for him as he only had to pick the box and heat it up, but the quality of the meals varied and in the end it was eating microwaved stuff from a box for every meal. Would not suit my taste buds.

GK certainly has a vivid imagination.... a necessary trait for good storytellers I suppose? Plus the ability to remember where you are and tie things together.

Doc have you any thoughts about the growing number of flight delays or outright cancellations this Summer? I may get a job for a meeting in Washington DC but what I am reading online gives me serious pause about how to plan my flights... thousands of flights being cancelled for various reasons .. Buy your ticket through the airline itself, not a third party, unless it's a company-paid ticket and the company's reliable business travel agency stands behind it; they have a 24/7 1-800 number to deal with any problems. Book a flight early in the day so there are back up flights later that day, and in the southeast, summer thunderstorms in the afternoon cause more trouble than blizzards in the winter. Or fly in a day early. Take only carry-on bags because you have it with you and can rearrange your flights without the airline having to haul your bag out of the baggage hold. Buy a changeable ticket - some airlines are offering that at no penalty because of these schedule issues. Non-refundable tickets are OK if you don't mind taking a credit to use on your next trip. Don't buy a "basic economy" ticket without an assigned seat - they are cheaper but they are often the first to be cancelled/rescheduled. If the airline itself changes the schedule they have to accommodate you at their expense, not yours. Most flights still operate as scheduled. The current mess is due to unacceptably high cancel rates of 10%, as the "norm" is only 1% - 2%. Most airlines have now reduced their flight schedules due to staff shortages and bad PR, so it is happening less often. That way there are fewer seats and they can charge more because of demand, keep revenues as high as ever.

That's why I don't use those meal services; I go to Dream Dinners once a month to pick up 12 - 15 dinners that are prepped and ready to go with just 10 minutes work. But read the reviews - some of the services may be OK.

It was indeed a good show!
Let me know if you decide you'll go to Nashville. Would you drive or fly? Would you want to see Brandi Carlile too (just in case I have to buy two tickets through a resale)?
BTW, Brandi's summer concerts are outdoors, almost always inexpensive lawn tickets available.

Yup, yall have a good weekend, and a good Father's Day, I got a surprise "ButcherBox Father's Day gift box" which is why I have a shoulder roast to decide what to do with. All the rest of the cuts in the box were steaks.

Thanks for the tips, I had to run outside and deal with our escape artist dachshund who continues to find a way to weasel through a chicken wire barricade and go where he should not! But I keep trying to improve my barrier and it is now a battle of the wits! Have a great week and give us a report on the roast!
