I like that it's now quite easy to go back and listen to almost any show we want.

The Beautiful Kentucky Waltz. How sweet. What a voice.
I'm needing music for sure.

You're right. We have been inattentive and absent such that we didn't necessarily reach 2 or more pages, thus no TOTP. Lottery tix indicated for sure.
I do not usually buy lottery tickets, and I think I have asked you this before but I forgot: 1. Do we have lottery in WA? 2. If so, where do I buy tickets?

Among my favorite events at MerleFest is the sessions where those who have Been Around for a while all reminisce about their stories.

I'm feeling very nostalgic for these "Love Conquers All" songs. It brings me comfort, although may not always be true no matter the effort. Sweet. Very Sweet.

I do not usually buy lottery tickets, and I think I have asked you this before but I forgot: 1. Do we have lottery in WA? 2. If so, where do I buy tickets? WA does have all the lottery options from scratch offs to the multi-state Powerball. In Florida they have tickets at every corner gas/snack store ... and most grocery stores.. and even Walmart has a machine. I rarely purchase anything other than a $1 scratch off.. something neat about knowing right away if you win or not.

Every 7-11 corner or anywhere, Doc. Just don't hang up your grocery store line while trying to buy one. They will lynch you.

Oh good. There is a 7-11 on the corner down the hill (from which I can see Mt Baker), I bet they have lottery tickets!

Sorry, I was gone for a minute. I went to look up Kathy Chiavola, then for some reason got hung up in the healing powers of Vicks VapoRub.

The opening day of deer hunting season was not an official school holiday in West Virginia, but if you were not in school that day, it was not counted as an absence.
All middle school students took a required Gun Safety course.

Hmmmm. "Widows' Parties." This is a cute Hunters' Story, although no one who ever depended on the meat to get through the winter and spring ever treated us hunters that way in northwestern Montana. It was the hope of survival.
It was a cute story I wish had been true.

It was the hope of survival. It was a cute story I wish had been true. It might or might not have been the hope of survival anyplace I've ever lived, but that story took it outside of the real situation. Rural KY, AL, IL or FL it was just something men did, and it tasted good.

I love the way Blue Grass often starts slow and mournful, then takes the same song and whips it into a frenzy.
Reminds me of a NOLA funeral procession.

I'm just at the credits now, still have "Rawhide."
Russ Ringsack was responsible for sussing out a lot of the local color that GK used in the show, so the deer hunting + blue grass probably came through Russ, may he RIP.
Y'all all have a good week.
