Did you ever watch the Mitch Miller TV show DW? Those are the same old songs my grandmother would play for our family singalongs, and the same as these Diana Krall songs. Also the same as the Jonesborough Novelty Band plays every year at Storytelling. When his show was on tv, I was too young to watch it.. and I do not recall ever hearing him on reruns or PBS etc.

Yes, he always had some young blond soprano to sing duets with. Until Heather Masse, who is brunette, and that seems to have stuck longer. I think he is still doing occasional shows with her in those places where he is still a welcome performer.

I don't think that Mitch Miller ever ran in re-runs or on PBS, but his records can still be bought today. All you had to do was "follow the bouncing ball" so you didn't even have to know the words.
And the show was in the early 1960's and featured Leslie Uggams, who was Black! I don't think there were any other Black TV stars then, unless maybe they played servants.
