I would appreciate that DW! How are you making your guess? I have looked at the GK Facebook page and can't tell.
Something is supposed to appear at 5 pm CT, and it seems to include Bonnie Raitt performing John Prine's "Angel From Montgomery."

Also with us the Royal Academy of Radio Acting: Tim Russell, Sue Scott, and Tom Keith, sitting in with the Guy's All-Star Shoe Band, the Manhattan maestro Andy Stein, plus an older guy in a rumpled tuxedo and red sneakers handing out the candy

It's been nice - mostly warm and sunny which is uncommon for October in the PNW. We took a short vacation trip over to the Olympic Peninsula and enjoyed the break though even in-state travel is weird in the Covid era.

Some years back I was in Omaha for a medical meeting and saw the Wailin' Jennys live at a local performance. I wrote a review of the show and I think I posted it here - somewhere. It was a wonderful performance, and in a small venue so it was quite up close and personal.

//Recently I read a historical revisit some of the not so great moments of past presidents... nothing written was as bad as what we have been dealing with in the present! //
I have thought for a long time that President Trump is sick, but I had always thought Personality Disorder + Dementia rather than acute illness. Now from a distance I think it is very clear to me (as a physician, but not his physician) he has full-blown steroid psychosis.
Other presidents may have been seriously ill (FDR, DDE, RR, JFK to name a few recent examples) but at least they maintained a facade of competence and relatively good health, employing other competent adults to help them govern when they could not.

For the past few years I have had no weekly prods to consider My Life's Persistent Questions (or anyone's, for that matter). Is that for better or for worse? I dunno.
At least one of them hasn't changed a bit - Where should I live? Left coast? Blue Ridge or other easterly location? The Southwest Desert? Ecuador?

When someone has a choice, a real choice, I have always maintained that they are both very blessed and very troubled!! You sound like you could go anywhere and yet you struggle with knowing where to go!

All the possibilities are good, and I even have 2 easy choices - stay where I am in the PNW, which is a very nice place to live. Or return to the Blue Ridge where I already have a "spare house" so it is easy, and also a nice place to live. In Appalachia one can be relatively insulated from the other objectionable events going on. When we were on vacation, the place we stayed did not have TV, internet or reliable phone service. I brought a radio just in case, but didn't even take it out of the car.
Back here in civilization I do not resist the urge to "be informed."
Now those other locations are very appealing but would involve a "real move" to an unfamiliar location. That is always difficult even if on is quite experienced with re-lo's.
I appreciate that I am blessed, but compared to my health troubles, any other troubles are likely quite minor. There is a reason I am very familiar with the seriously adverse effects of steroids, including steroid psychosis.

Bonnie Raitt singing Sippie Wallace tunes - ah the good old days when we could attend live music events.
I have tickets to a concert featuring Tom Paxton and John McCutcheon in Alexandria, VA on October 25. The rare opportunity for a live concert was so appealing, who cares if it involved a little plane trip? Well, yesterday the concert was canceled...

No, I was waiting until a little closer to book the flight because I thought there was a significant possibility of cancellation. The airlines are being flexible on cancellations nowadays anyway - popular demand and maybe some state/federal pressure. For me it wouldn't matter - I could take a credit on Alaska Airlines and use it for the next trip. There is always a next trip waiting.
TicketMaster however is saying a refund may take up to 30 days. Could have taken a credit with The Birchmere (the show venue) but since I don't live there and am not a regular patron (unlike the airlines), I'm taking the refund.
I'm substituting a livestream event with John McCutcheon tomorrow evening. It's a benefit for the Alberta Rose Theater in Portland.

On many of those credits you only have to book within the credit time frame, and most airlines accept bookings 6 - 12 months in advance, so I bet you will be able to find something that looks appealing.
