Well, I finally did it. I've been a paid member and faithful attendee of meetings by Central Florida Storytelling Guild, for a while now. And every so often one of the folks would give me an elbow, "When are we going to hear from you?" So, Tuesday night I made my debut. It was experimental; I wanted to see if I still had neurons and synapses that would hold hands and let me memorize something. I got my toe in the water with a little, short piece of Cowboy Poetry: "Reincarnation", by Walter McCrae. I'm sure doc knows it, and for the rest of you folks it's easily looked up. I did it over Zoom, which is how we're doing our meetings now. One of my dulcimer friends is a past Florida Champion Liar, and he said it went fine. I didn't stumble, or leave anything out, and some people actually laughed! It's not how I pictured my Storytelling Coming Out, but it's a done deal now!

Congrats~~ the first time is always a bit of a challenge. Now that your toe got wet, time to do a cannonball!
