Well, maybe it’s not everyone’s idea of paradise but it is a typical weekend in Yokohama, Japan. Port call, Yokohama A yoga class is being held on top of the Cruise Ship passenger terminal The golden years, a stroll along the waterfront in Yamashita park Where the affluent hangout Where I hangout Vapor trails cross the sky She got her man Phoning it in from Oktoberfest There’s more than one kind of pilot Takin’ the “A” train home All the best, Mike

Thanks for the pics, Mike. It's always good to see more of people and places over there.
Does the Oktoberfest feature lots of beer , sausages, and roast chicken? I suppose it would be too much to expect waitresses in dirndls serving liters of beer in steins.
The buildings where the affluent hang out aren't extremely attractive, but the road itself and the sidewalk with its planters are better. The play of light and shadow is good. The partial arch is fascinating, and the area behind it looks really nice.

Hi Joe! Oktoberfest is a big deal in Yokohama. They set up a huge tent, have a Bavarian band, there's dancing, singing, drinking... lots of drinking, and German food. It's an annual event that people live for. Regards, Mike

Nice. If I'm ever in Japan in October, I'll try to get to the Yokohama Oktoberfest. I've pretty much accepted that I'll never get to Munich for the original, but yours looks worth visiting. All I need is an invitation from my little bro.
