"The beat goes on." What is the sound of one hand drumming? Or is the drumstick in the guy's right hand somehow concealed?
Nice pics.

I thought samba was for Brazil!
So what is the port for Diamond Princess, Mike? An Asian cruise is still on my bucket list.
I am relieved to finally have high-speed internet set up so I can look at your wonderful pictures.

I don't always comment or say "thanks" Mike, but I will today. I always enjoy your photos; they're not just images. You have a good eye for the character of a situation.

Beautiful, enticing pictures, Mike! I'm particularly fond of early morning in your backyard. Hi Babe! It was a foggy morning which is unusual for us because we live high up on a hill top; the light was unique because of the fog so I grabbed my camera and while still wearing my pajamas (yes, I wear PJs) I shot the picture. I'm so glad that you like it. Regards, Mike

Joe, the drum stick is moving so fast that it looks like it's not there. You're comment "What is the sound of one hand drumming?" reminds me of the fact that the drummer for the rock band "Def Leppard" is a one armed drummer. Lost one of his arms in a car accident and learned how to do the job using his three remaining limbs. Regards, Mike

Precisely! Jane, that district of Yokohama (Yoshida-cho) is famous for their unusual block parties. In the summer they have parties featuring blues bands and pole dancers. The people in Yoshida-cho know how to have a good time. Regards, Mike

That shot of the Diamond Princess was taken at Oosanbashi (The Yokohama International Passenger Terminal). Check it out here: www.osanbashi.com/en/index.htmlI don't know why but the Japanese love Samba dancing. There are Samba dancing festivals happening all over the country. Regards, Mike
