They guessed I'm from California. When I changed my beer from Yuengling to Sam Adams, they still said California.

They nailed me with Florida...probably has to do with the grocery chain, Publix. It's pretty much a Florida thing, though they do have some in Georgia, for sure, maybe south Alabama.

The poll says I am from Michigan! Which is one state I have never lived in.
I've been to all 50 states, was born in Washington DC which isn't a state, and have lived in 12 (VA, CA, Hawaii, NY, Louisiana, FL, CO, WV, WA, NC, ME, AZ). I've spent a lot of time working in Nevada, New Mexico, Georgia and DC. I've spent only a minimal amount of time in Michigan.
The 11 questions posed all had fairly clear-cut answers too. Can't imagine why the result was Michigan.

Illinois. I had a hard time seeing real regional associations with most of the questions. "Traffic circle" vs. "roundabout" might be an indicator. I said traffic circle - what did you all say?

Me, personally, I call it "traffic circle". But down here it's called "roundabout", which I understand is what they call them in New Joisey and New Yawk.

Well, that's pretty funny! I got Texas.
//Don't mess with Texas! What other State can boast wide open spaces, annual rodeos, and the economic resources of a small European country. Whenever someone comes to visit from out-of-state you greet them with your warmest, "Howdy!" and see them off with a, "Ya'll come back now ya hear?" There ain't nothing more American than an ice cold beer, a pickup truck, and the 2nd Amendment. And if anyone's got a problem with that, well, kill 'em with kindness!\\
That's sort of like Montana!

I call it a roundabout because that is what they call them in Europe, which is where I first started seeing lots of them. Maybe Michigan is an "average" - but I don't know enough about Michigan to figure out why it is an average.

Hereabouts we call them "rotaries." I never knew that's also the word in Calif.
