Here's what I C&P'ed from my latest visit to the Chat Room (if we decide to use it): Welcome Trusty has joined the chat. [Trusty] It's Sunday morning, and I'm the only one here. I logged in, and Morticia said "Welcome..." [Trusty] Then I pressed the button with the two sheets of paper on it, so we would have a "written record". [Trusty] Now, I'll press the button with the clock on it, so we'll have a time stamp on the written record. 10:25 AM [Trusty] Now, we're gonna have quite a time... 10:26 AM [Trusty] OK, that works. Let me press the + button... 10:28 AM [Trusty] That's cool. It it doesn't make the window any bigger, but it makes my type larger. Maybe that will work. 10:28 AM [Trusty] And the - button makes the type smaller... 10:30 AM [Trusty] Let's see what the ? button does. 10:32 AM [Trusty] Woah! It gives me a help screen (on a different screen). The first thing it does is explain the buttons. 10:32 AM [Trusty] So, this should be "required reading" for all entering the Chat Room for the first time. Nice. 10:37 AM [Trusty] OK. it's time to leave, so I will click on my "Copy Content" and cursor over all the type (CNTL-A) and copy it. 10:38 AM [Trusty] and then leave. I need to be the last one to leave on Saturday night. 10:39 AM [Trusty] If anyone wants to share after that, he or she can post like in the old CB. 10:40 AM [Trusty] I'll copy now & leave. ------- This will work as long as someone remembers to copy & paste it. If you leave the Chat Room without doing that, you lose the information. Also, I suggest Copying every hour (like during intermission) and pasting it over here. We want to keep Thomas happy . He's giving us the rundowns, and we want to help him as much as we can. Let's see how this works this week.

Has this been posted?
A week of increased dietary fiber, curry acclimation, and Hatha Yoga has hopefully prepared us for the National Lentil Festival in Pullman, Washington, where we'll be broadcasting live this week from the Beasley Performing Arts Coliseum at Washington State University. The surrounding area, known as the Palouse, is remarkable for it's fertile rolling hills where winter and spring wheat, barley, peas, and of course lentils, are cultivated to perfection. We'll have Stephanie Davis, The Guy's All-Star Shoe band with Andy Stein, The Royal Academy of Radio Acting: Tim Russell, Sue Scott, and Fred Newman, the News from Lake Wobegon, and more great talent TBA.

We have a direct link to Gather.com where Julia posts the lineup for the show thread over there (Links\APHC Links\APHC Gather.Com). I don't know all the fine details of copyright laws, but I don't think they will mind this one C&P to help teach that we maybe shouldn't be doing it every week. Of course, if you've been corresponding with Julia, and she's given her permission, that's different. But, right now. a link might be "safer". (I get the feeling we're being watched.) Thanks.

I will be with you guys in spirit. By the time the show starts, they should be just starting to finish up the reception of this Ukrainian wedding I'm shooting. (The last one lasted 7 hours.)
Anyway, this is the LAST NOTICE that everybody should know by now we are using the Show Thread and NOT the Chat Room. Post away & have fun!

Trusty, I'm embarrassed to admit this in public, but on the off-chance that others are in the same fix - where the heck do you click on Links? I see all kinds of clickable items (including "Are You Normal" which has me feeling paranoid) but nothing called "Links."

And another thing. What are the symbols in the left-hand column. One of them squiggles. Does that mean hot stuff?

Isn't this just the state of the nation? I try to print out the evening supplied by Thomas, and I run out of bloody ink! That's not funny at 11 pm

This thing just told me I may make only one post every 15 seconds. So, what do I do in the lag time? Fiddle around? Er, is this a co-ed thread? ;D

Garrison has been talking about lentils for the past 10 minutes. I never knew there was so much to say about lentils.
I wonder if you are getting a repeat and a pledge night.
