Either it is taking a very long time to "buffer," or the cub is just sleeping, not moving.
It doesn't say how old the cub is, but s/he has lots of stripes. I thought the cubs were born white or beige, then gradually developed the tiger stripes, but really I know nothing about tiger cubs.

I'll check, but she's just a few days old. I watched a minute ago and she was crawling around the edges of the crib, not actually up on all fours. Then I looked away and came back to find she was gone - someone must have come to feed her. Damn, I hate missing important stuff, but I'm washing kitchen walls. I wanted a good look at her face.

Baby must have just had a bath, as I caught her being toweled dry (I guess you can't take a blow dryer to a tiger) and packed in with blankets and stuffed accoutrements. She's getting stronger and probably won't stay tucked in for long.*
*wrong - I checked back and she's plumb tuckered out. With babies of all kinds there's a reason we say "fell asleep" - they just drop where they are.
Can someone tell me how to freeze a shot and copy it? I've been reading about how you put it on a clipboard, but that's one of those arcane terms I've never figured out. Where is that clipboard?

Someone (Larry?) could do that over on the loon site, but I don't have a clue how to do that. Is it the "Print Screen" button up by F12?

FLASH!
Another tiger cub, 3 weeks younger, has been brought from St. Louis to grow up with our cub, apparently so they can get more tiger-ish together. They were squirming and crawling all over their playpen a minute ago, but then - like babies of every species - they fell sound asleep. You have to look closely when they're still, because someone has put a tiger throw or blanket in the bottom of the pen and they blend right in. This probably helps them associate comfort and safety with the look of mom's stripes.
It will be a treat watching these two together, but I'm wondering why both tiger moms, from completely different zoo settings, were unable to nurse. Maybe that has something to do with their being endangered.

Just a reminder that the tiger cubs are still showing off for the camera. They're growing, but still playful, clumsy babies. Whenever I need a slug of cute I check in on them. I just wish there were more cameras because the cubs now have more play gear outside of their crib. www.mnzoo.com/animals/animals_liveCam_tigerCub.asp

I can see them just fine, as this hotel internet seems to buffer very quickly, and they are so cute!
And while many of the Firefox and Proboards ads on the hotel internet are in Italian, the ones here on this thread are strictly American and animal-related. Hmmm. Italians don't care about animals? The universal language for animal advocacy is English?
