OK, ask and you shall receive Gail! And speaking of stretching, do you think it is stretching to put this in the "Getting Creative" Section?

It's definitely August! Lots of re-runs and the dragging out of endless non-stories on "the news." I hadn't watched "The Today Show" in ages, but I can see this morning that I haven't missed anything - it's still Tiger Woods, Lindsay Lohan and bad economic news.
I have moved over to TCM and lately I just watch old movies.

Signing up for 2nd tier cable and DVR has turned me into a remote-jockey (that's when you can't stop scrolling for more and more possible movies to record). I now get so many oddball channels (did I mention LOGO, which seems to be for a gay audience but offers a range of terrific little movies?) that I could be recording and watching endlessly. But this is about TV, right? "Memphis Beat" is on Tuesday nights, 9 Central, and should be just another cop show. I watch many of them - no superiority here - but I watch because I'm fascinated by the plots. Some have pretty good ensemble casts and some have Not One Single character you give a rip about. But this one has some pretty great music, characters who grow on you and a bit of sardonic humor. Alas, the season ended lat night. but if you have a cable service that offers on-deman reruns, you could probably watch them all or, at the least, online. Dude. I'm late with a welcome and I'm going to start right in arguing. I'm still trying to get into "Rubicon," but it seems unbearably slow. Also, the lighting and camera angles seemed better than average but then got old fast. Sort of like a film school grad trying out every noir-ish trick all at once. But I'm willing to be talked into appreciating it. after all, it took me 3 years to decide to catch up and watch "Mad Men."

Well, if it's TV music we are looking at, you should remember this song from the Seattle shows:
