Yeah, Jessie definitely earns his kibble.
We used to have a couple Jack Russels next door; the long hair was Bonnie and the short hair was Clyde. They were real good at barking!

Amazing difference in activity level between Buttermilk and the other three.

I know! Seems as if Buttermilk might be a little racist, too. The others look as if they're saying, "Uh, yo - aren't you going to do anything about this? aren't there rules?"

Once, again, my apologies for being so haphazard about visiting with y'awlll! Just not been too chatty lately. Don't seem to have anything postworthy going on in my life. Midwinter doldrums, I guess. We've been getting some snow, these past 3 weeks. Flooding forecast is looking very good, which is a great relief. My supervisor is planning on retiring, end of August, possibly toward the end of the year, whenever he decides to. Guess those in the higher eschelons have decided that I will be taking the reins, we'll see when that happens. Nothing earthshakin' goin' on, just wanted to let y'awlllllllll know I'm well and happy. ~B~

I'll be sending good wishes and guarded optimism your direction, buddy. You know as well as anyone the situation there at your work. It's a long way to that fellow's retirement being locked in. Until then I'll be keeping you on my good list!

From my friend who needs distraction from her cancer comes this knock-out dance video. She finds some gems. Lil Buck is a street dancer who went to China with YoYoMa and Meryl Streep as part of cultural exchange. This was on Colbert Report yesterday. www.youtube.com/watch?v=u6VVSBu7qrU

I've forced myself not to keep posting about our bears, but I'm not sure this vdeo is about MN or who filmed it. WHY would you force yourself to NOT do that?!? Dang it. Short and delightful, indeed. What an easy and great intervention on the two-legs' part.

]This looks like a good place to interject with something that made my day.
My cousin had received a letter, from a distant relative, containing photographs that my grandfather had mailed to his brother in California in 1949. Also was a typewritten copy of the letter he wrote in which he told of a fishing trip to Canada, the activities of that spring (He wrote the letter on Memorial Day of '49) and included a picture of his newest purchase, a 1949 John Deere "A" tractor, with one of my uncles on the seat. This same tractor was on the farm when I was a boy and I used it in the hayfields. I damn neared cried when I saw that photo.
How cool is that, huh? ~B~
