I agree. I smote Joe last night and then couldn't sleep for hours. Assuming you're not saying that with tongue in cheek, that goes along with my point: some people are taking it way too seriously. Can't we all lighten up and enjoy?

Somebody smote me a couple of times. I'm sleeping just fine! (Mike says it's like fifth-grade boys hitting girls they like. I'm familiar with that routine!)

Can't we all lighten up and enjoy? Well, it was a tad tongue-in-cheek. Why is it you're so eager to start fun-filled bashing? Were you the youngest brother, always getting pounded?

Playing Red-rover, hitting Fifth-grade girls, getting pounded, this is all so juvenile… I do believe I am in my element here. Mike

More seriously, in spite of my ranting about political correctness, in the case of karma points I prefer a more egalitarian playing ground. This is across the board in all life efforts for me.
But that may be just because I never got to be Homecoming Queen and haven't quite recovered from the trauma yet.

I was lucky. My older sister was a popular one. She was on the Court of Homecoming Queens. Naturally, with a popular older sister, I rejected popularity Big-Time.
I embraced the Spirit of the Unpopular, looked down my nose at those silly things boys-n-girls did to be popular. Oh, how green my eyes were underneath it all. Yet I never acknowledged that envy. And I never, even to this day, recognized a desire in me to be popular.
I wonder if I would like that status? This place is the popular-ist I've ever been.
and I often squirm from the attention

Trust-man, how 'bout if we turn off the Karmas for a month? Let's see how it feels? Did I already say that?

Trust-man, how 'bout if we turn off the Karmas for a month? Let's see how it feels? Did I already say that? Or, how 'bout we reset everyone back to zero? Then let's see how crazy we are for karma. I didn't know I was right Until I went and did it wrong Without the knowledge of karma My life was moving right along Everyday was sunny and bright I woke up every morning Looking forward to a starry, starry night Then I learned that I had karma And I started to worry And I want to alarm ya That one never worries about What they haven't got 'Til the karma points start to really add up No, I didn't know I was right Until I went and did it wrong And if you didn't give a hoot about karma You wouldn't have wasted your time Reading this ridicules song Mike

It's past the due date, and the poll is closed. Karma Points stay on prairieCHATTER.
Karma Points have really never been an issue here. It was just something we had never addressed as a group - like unfinished business.
Thank you for your participation. Love you all.

Like ten little Indians Until there were none
The karma are clipped All in the name of fun!

Ace, I'd bemoaning if I had too much Karma. I'm more of a less-is-more person. Perhaps you missed my little ditty from up above. Here's a reprint in case you did. I didn't know I was right Until I went and did it wrong Without the knowledge of karma My life was moving right along Everyday was sunny and bright I woke up every morning Looking forward to a starry, starry night Then I learned that I had karma And I started to worry And I want to alarm ya That one never worries about What they haven't got 'Til the karma points start to really add up No, I didn't know I was right Until I went and did it wrong And if you didn't give a hoot about karma You wouldn't have wasted your time Reading this ridicules songAnyway, I was just toying with rhymes when I posted the 10 little Indians thing. The prairieCHATTER was mighty quiet and the Karma thread was the only place that piqued my interest. I mean, I'd finished my corny John Wayne poem, what else was there for me to do, play Fibonacci's numbers? Oh, back to your question; I don't normally delight in smiting people, but in some cases I can make an exception...take that All in fun, Mike

I should note that not only did I resist the urge to have fun and smite Mike back, I even exalted him. I'm humbly awaiting the tsunami of karma points that will flooding in soon... Hardly a tsunami, but a trickle from me! ~B~

Smite him! Yeah! Smite him, slb2, if that's how you feel about what he wrote. After all, that's what smiting's for! ;D (Exalting Ace for the good suggestion.)

I only have enough energy to either exalt or smite. And when it comes to those choices, there is only one right thing....

Better eat a granola bar or drink a beer to get your energy level back up.

I set myself up for a jolly good smite and instead I get killed with kindness. Then the crowd rallies behind Slb2 and try’s to egg her on to give me a good healthy smite; and she chickens out. What’s a guy have to do around here to get smited? BTW, Slb2, I wouldn’t drink beer and eat granola bars at the same time, could lead to some serious, err, ah, to use one of your terms, “metered flatulence”. Regards, Mike

It seems that the great Karma debate has run out of flatulence gas. How sad, I had a feeling we were starting to turn the tide and possibly get a reversal on the Supreme court decision: Karma Vs. Karma. Hey, wasn't that a movie? Mike
