Received an interesting PM that you may want to know about: //Trusty, on the other ProBoards message board that I'm a member of, our administrator added a YouTube function button to the array of "Tags" available to posters. I have no idea how this is done, but somehow it works so that a YouTube video can be embedded directly into the post. Not a link to an outside site -- an actual YouTube screen smack in the middle of a post that will run a video. I don't know if any of us are savvy enough to know how to use that stuff, but some of us might be and some of the rest of us might be able to learn. Just thought I'd mention it -- for your next project.// ------------------- I had a feeling that anyone could link to YouTube videos in a post (like pictures), but wasn't sure until I found THIS THREAD. So, it's not exclusively an administrator function. Anyone can link to videos in a post. (I'm checking on the "Tags" thing - seems interesting.)

Trusty, when I type a message here, up above the message box I see several rectangular spaces, divided by a vertical line into left and right sides. The topmost one is for the thread "Subject." Interestingly, though I've never noticed this before, it looks like you can put different subject titles in your reply. I'm going to try that with this reply (instead of "Re: YouTube," which is there now, I'm going to type in something different and see what happens when I post it). The second box, which I've also never played with, but now see answers a question I've had about threads for a while now, is "Message Icon:" on the left, and a pull-down menu on the right (STandard, Thumbs Up, Thumbs Down" and other designations. The third box reads, on the left, Add Tags: and on the right there is a double row of icon "buttons": B, I, U, S, G, D, <--M, something for "preformatted text," a left justify, center, right justify, <--->, font size, font face, and then, on the second row, another 14 "buttons" for inserting links, images, tables, and so on. That's what I meant by "an array of 'Tags' available to posters." On the other ProBoards forum I belong to, our adminstrator added a "Tag" to insert a YouTube video. It appears as the final "button" on the second line, next to the one for bullets. When I click on it, appears in the message box. I assume the YouTube address line goes in between the bracketed stuff. (If it doesn't show up, the code is "bracket yt bracket bracket slash yt bracket".) The last rectangular box up there is to "Add Smilies:" and there are 16 little bald-headed, cold-headed yellow guys with no hats. I can't imagine why they are smiling.
