As many of you know, we were hit with a plague of frogs recently. Actually, they were notices that the "image" no longer existed.
Here's what happened, when I started this thing, I didn't care for such "buttons" ("reply", "quote", "modify", etc.) being in a hard-to-read outline form, so I asked ProBoards about it. They sent me a whole bunch of web sites from ImageShack that I programmed to replace the outlined buttons, so we had nice easy-to-read square blue buttons.
BUT, it seems that ImageShack giveth and ImageShack taketh away. Some of the buttons started eroding - being replaced by a "no image" message with ImageShack's logo, which just happened to be (that's right - you guessed it) a FROG. Yuck!
Sooooo, I contacted ProBoards again and found the true story: ImageShack taketh away IF you don't have an account with them - which, of course, costs money.
THEREFORE, until something better (and free) comes along, we are stuck with the default ProBoards "outline" buttons. At least, we have SOMETHING other than frogs!
Trusty
PS: A side - yet very sarcastic - note: Thanks to all the Moderators who rushed to send me a PM or email about the drastic alteration of the board. (I saw you were having too much fun with the frogs ;D ;D ;D ;D)

I just wrote a reply to your post, Trusty, and got time-logged-out whille writing, and my post was lost. Anyway, I've been seeing the frogs off and on for while and assumed, until I saw anja's post this morning, that I was the only one seeing them. My operating system is being held together with spit, ketchup, and virtual duct tape, so weird stuff always happens on my computer. So, as you could see, we were able to post ;D despite the frogs, but thanks for taking care of us.

I guess you had to be there, Mike. Trusty tried to do something with the "reply" button, and instead of what he wanted, there appeared a large square with an image of a frog and the legend that the image requested was no longer available and some other verbiage. It did not seem very popular.

It did not seem very popular. NO! NO! NO! I discovered the frogs like most everyone else. Read the first post; 1. I linked the buttons here - like an avatar - from ImageShack (a different company than ProBoards). 2. ImageShack eliminated some of them - replacing the eliminated ones with their logo (a BIG stupid frog). 3. ProBoards said that ImageShack may take more away because I didn't have a paid account with ImageShack, so 3. I had to dump the ImageShack buttons, and go back to ProBoards' default buttons (the ugly outline fonts). Clear now?

Trusty, you're doing a damn fine job!
No frog (French, fine, or otherwise) is going to have it's way with you!
Keep up the good work! You make the rest of us slackers (Moderators) look good!
I'm proud to be part of the team. Mike
