Congrats to the author of that poem. If I knew who you were, I would exalt you.
I hope our guests will decide to join and enlarge the circle of the conversation. As the poem says, we want to be welcoming; and everybody who looks in has something worth saying.
So, join up and join in.

And, members, don't just lurk. Say something to someone. We'd love to have you talk to us when you're around.

The author surely is trusty. I don't know how to do it and I bet flexrod doesn't either.

Well, trusty, you've had plenty of time to deny authorship; so I take your silence as a tacit admission of authorship.
Therefore, trusty, I exalt you (as soon as I can get to a thread where you've posted).

OK. OK. I 'fess up. (I'm basically shy and really feel guilty about getting praised for having fun. BTW, if anyone was concerned (I know I was.), I changed the line about "losses" in respect for Anja's loss of her brother-in-law. It means that we're not gonna have any losses in membership because we're just too much fun! )

Trusty, I just wanna exalt you for all the funny lines currently in the news fader. ;D
Modified to add that I think this one is my favorite: Depression is merely anger without enthusiasm.

The one I remember without looking is, "Honk if you love peace and quiet." But there are a lot of gems there.

Yes! Shoulda known that Trusty was to blame!
It's feeling lonely here to me lately. Talk about inbred.
Suze says something about feeling that her vocabulary is stuck and so do I. Can't even seem to analyze the changes. It's just like family. When you get too close you can't really "see" them anymore.
Yet I do believe that we are all responsible for welcoming and encouraging the many whom I know read and don't, or rarely, speak.
I know many here think that people are responsible for coming in and introducing themselves. But I think about how I would feel coming into a different place where folks have been talking for a couple of years and wondering if you can be part of the group.
When I knocked on the door, and it did take some courage, it was startling to feel so well received, and boy, were those guys crazy. So much in-language that I didn't even know what was being talked about.
Our mom, Julia Schrenkler, is much missed by me. And I remember how she would encourage us not to use our private colloquialisms. And I'd insist that that is what holds a group together - a common language.
Love it here. Yeah, JuliaStar, the sorta nest. Doin' our best, I guess.

Trusty, your news fader is definitely edgier tonight. How're you doing? Thanks, Bookums. Actually, I've a cold for the past week - so I'm on drugs and take no responsibility for my edginess. The old stuff is still there behind the new stuff; no timetable for changing it.
