"In the future at the beginning of The Show Thread, please may we have an intro of the stars appearing on APHC Show that week?" You have it, Miss Tillie. And you can't get any better than Julia Schrenkler's descriptions. Click on "Links". Then click on "APHC Links". Then scroll down and click on "APHC Gather.com" Find Julia's show description for the week you want and enjoy. (Be sure to come back!)

slb2: I think I would have used echt, as in ein echter Freund. As you see I am still floating around in here - exploring is good.

Sir -
This post is submitted for your reconsidereration.
I do agree, Julia does a fine job in describing an intro to The Stars of APHC Shows. I realize there might be copyright problems in using her description at the beginning of The Show Threads in our luverly and comfy new place, prairieCHATTER.
(Have I told you lately how much I appreciate Mr Ad-min-is-tra-tor and dear Susan thoughtfully and creatively putting together prairieCHATTER given only a moment's notice!)
As you very well know, in the past during the live broadcasts of the shows some of us have posted on The Show Threads and 'twould be so helpful and easier to refer quickly to The Stars if their names and talents were listed at the top of The Show Thread rather than go the longer route you suggest. GK gives delicious introductions during the shows and he has a mesmerizing voice. However, I don't think it would be at all practical for him to spell out each star's name, too!
Yours in all sincerity, Tillie

Thank you, Tillie. Your words are kind - and delicious.
If anyone wants to link over to Gather.com, copy the information and REWRITE it in a show thread here for a specific week, please do so. (There is more discussion of this on this week's (Oct 7) Show Thread.) slb2 has done it for this week and may want to rewrite some more weeks in verse.
Since this is an independent board with no paid staff, we must work together to keep it going strong. I could not commit to writing the weekly intro because I'm not going to be here all the time. So, I've tried to make it easy for any of us to link over to Gather and grab the info that Miss Julia has written there.
Hope that helps.

Thank you, Plato! Also, I was thinking.......some of the regulars and guests haven't had time to discover all the marvy bells and whistles etcetera that you so considerately put on this fantastic website! Take me for instance: A polite young Swedish teen in a gorgeous red jeep with a lifted up chassis rear-ended my car! He took full responsibility immediately and his insurance company sent me a cheque for over $6,000.00 to repair the back of my car. If you think that bump didn't give me a "Shake, Rattle and Roll", You've got another think coming!

flagcat, dahlin', I may not have OS around anymore to correct my grammar, but now I have you to catch my foreign language mistakes. I like that.
