Has anybody downloaded/installed Windows 11? Thoughts? Recommendations?

I haven't seen much comment anywhere, and there haven't been any of those pop-up notices on my Windows 10 laptop. I've watched for comments on several sites that I follow - frequent flyers, cruisers, and other doctors - because they tend to use computers much like I do. No groundswell there either.
I'm not changing until I see a good reason, and lots of positive remarks.

I had to buy a new computer, so took advantage of the free offer. I think there's a price, right? I haven't gone through the intro videos, but so far I see only some minor design changes. Of course, I don't do anything tricky on my computer and might not run into the things that needed changing.

Remember when "they" first were trying to sell us on the idea of computers, either for work or for home? The computers were going to save us 1) Time, 2) Paperwork and 3) Money.
No one said, "Oh and, by the way, these machines will continually become obsolete in 3-5 years so you will need to buy new ones, there will be no backup when they crash, and if you have been so gullible to hook your phone system up to them, when they crash there will be no phone service either."
Hahaha. Yet, here we are. Just like the invincible Supply Chain. Yet, here we are.

Rather than replacing my pooped out older computer I had the hard drive replaced, and it is Windows 11 I found it to be a pretty easy and painless transition, better than 8 or 10. It's pretty easy to use, and more attractive.

I'm glad to hear this, Jay, and will steel myself to watch the intro videos. I just haven't seen much different, except changing the start process - a little. I must not be taking advantage of the good stuff, so I don't know it's there. Hey, that could be one of life's major themes, couldn't it?

My new laptop has Windows 11. The big difference I notice is that this new one works well. My old one didn't, which is why I bought the new one.
In other words, although it does look a bit more attractive I don't notice much functional difference at all. I wouldn't have paid any $$ to upgrade to Windows 11 if I hadn't needed a new laptop, but also I wouldn't have gone to great lengths to maintain Windows 10 in a new laptop that automatically is sold with 11.
