It tells me France, but I doubt it. I feel I would be better suited to Denmark, Norway, Sweden or Finland. I'm basically a secular socialist.

Well, here is a completely accurate description of me: "You are an individual who enjoys the finer things in life, and love to surround yourself with beautiful things. You have a deep appreciation for urban architecture, and thrive best in a city that gives you the highest of nightlife, cuisine, and entertainment. You believe life is to be enjoyed to the fullest, but have no problem working hard to obtain what you want. You in fact take pride in working hard, and like to climb in your career. Others would perhaps describe you as a modernist, who appreciates culture and diversity, but enjoys the comforts of a superbly decorated home and clean living space. You are an urban dweller and like to enjoy a city where others share your passion for hard work and fine living. There is a deeper side to you however, and you find meaning in conversation about fine art, travel, and culture." And I should live in Dubai. Who knew?!?

France, like Jane. You are a romantic who enjoys strolling through cobblestone streets and markets. You are inspired by art and architecture, and thrive being surrounded by other artists and intellectuals. You enjoy the bustle of a city, but also love spending time in the warm countryside, sitting at a cafe, and having a glass of wine or coffee. Your soul is nourished by being in nature, and by having deep meaningful conversation about love, art, and the meaning of life.
As usual, I couldn't find satisfying answers, so I'll go back and do it over. I kind of like the sound of this, but I'm certainly no intellectual.
Isn't it awfully hot in Dubai? And way too much of that big fiery ball in the sky?

India. Likewise, gail, most of the questions didn't have any answer I wanted.

India. Likewise, gail, most of the questions didn't have any answer I wanted. Yes. I found myself saying, "I wouldn't call me any of those things," or "I wouldn't want to do any of those things." Sheesh. Yes, I think that Dubai has a lot of the Big, Bright Scary Thing in the Sky.

gk, you're more intellectually than I am, and the description of France does sound lovely. They didn't mention the smoking, the little dogs pooping on the streets and the general disdain towards so many things. I'm liking Canada more and more.

I love hearing how you describe yourself, Jane. It so isn't how I see you. Between you and gk, I believe that you two could fix any of the world's problems and then write accurate and entertaining articles chronicling the events. Whether you two are in France or Canada, I don't care.

It tells me:
So it's Iceland for me.
Now to give the other answers to the questions where I was on the fence and see where that lands me.

Changing three answers gets me France.
I like this quiz because we're getting very different answers.

When I changed several answers, I still came up France. So I guess I belong with the smokers attended by pooping dogs. But we always clean up after them - are France's streets like the days of horses making sidewalks absolutely essential? Paintings of romantic streets in the rain never depict animal droppings.
Joe, forgive me but I don't see you as the outdoor adventurer type. I'm sure you're an avid walker, but the hiking and risk-taking (in the cold, yet) seem not in character, anymore than BB enjoying fine living despite killer high temps seems in character. Perhaps she could visit Iceland about 6 months a year and you both could come to France when you need an escape.

I just had to take the test again because there were several questions I could have answered differently. Besides, DUBAI?!? Y'all know I don't do hot weather well. Burkas aren't required, but that kind of restrictive culture would make me a little crazier than usual. www.expatwoman.com/dubai/monthly_faqs_dubai_dress_code_8955.aspxThis time I am described as: " . . . an adventurous individual who enjoys being outdoors and spending time being active. You are a risk taker and have no problem striking up a conversation with a total stranger. When you travel you love to get to know the locals, and their customs, and are always up for a challenge. You thrive in a culture where others share your deep appreciation for land, and believe life is best lived outdoors. You love a hard hike, but also love the water and are happy to spend a day beach side. You thrive in a society with diversity and appreciate a simpler way of living. You are keen on learning about cultures and customs that are different than your own, and enjoy a deep conversation, whether it be philosophical or spiritual. You are not a city dweller by any means, and definitely believe that life is something to explore and experience firsthand. This country gives you endless opportunities to live both an active lifestyle and enjoy the company of new found friends." New Zealand!!! I can live much better with that. You mates must cruise down from France and Iceland and I'll throw something on the barbie!

I got India. I have no idea why. This does not sound at all like me. I'm thinking it's because I picked philosophy for that one question. I wasn't really passionate about any of them.
You are driven in life by the search for meaning and have a passion for culture and religion. You are a deeply spiritual person who thrives in an environment where people question their existence and devote themselves to a higher sense of being. You enjoy a stimulating environment and do best when you are challenged, mentally, and spiritually. You see life as an adventure and enjoy conversing with others on the big philosophical questions of life. Whether you are spending time in a bustling market, or meditating in a quiet garden, you are nourished by a society that is devoted to serving others.

The quiz says New Zealand for me:

It sounds pretty accurate except for the hiking and beach parts. And actually, I would love those activities/places if I could do them.
Interestingly, I could move to either New Zealand or Australia fairly easily, as both nations have formal programs encouraging US doctors to move there for one year assignments, longer I suppose if you decide you like it and want to stay. I've actually discounted both possibilities as too far from the US family and friends - 14 hours just to get to California.
I don't think Ecuador or other South American countries were on their "list."
