The Autumn Leaves & other things Yes, it’s more pictures. Over the Thanksgiving weekend I took pictures around Yamanashi Prefecture focusing on the autumn leaves around the Mt. Fuji lakes and also the persimmons in Enzan city. And now, on with the show. On the way to Yamanashi I stopped by Lake Tanzawa and took a picture of a Kinko nut tree. From the Lake Kawaguchi area. From the Lake Shoji area. From the Lake Sai area. Now the leaves and persimmons from Enzan city (Yamanashi Prefecture) The persimmons are peeled and hung to dry. A Tsubaki flower brightens my day. The best is always saved for last – the person in my life that makes the impossible possible The End

FABulous, Mike!
I've never seen anything like your pictures. And what does one do with peeled and dried persimmons?

Great pics, as always. The first couple looked like forsythia at first glance.

And what does one do with peeled and dried persimmons? Hi Babe! The dried persimmons are used for a variety of things; dried fruit, tea, deserts, etc... some types of persimmons become sweeter when they're dried. While in season (right now) Emi and I eat the ripe (non-dried) ones diced up with sliced bananas and mixed with yogurt for breakfast; it's very tasty! Mike P.S. Thank you, and Joe, for the nice comments on the pictures.

Great pics, as always. The first couple looked like forsythia at first glance. Joe, I misspelled the name of the tree, it should have been spelled Ginkgo nut tree: more exactly, Ginkgo, (Maidenhair Tree) Ginkgo biloba Mike

I have never seen a tree like that, Mike, although I recognize the name.
Again, Great Pictures!
And I loved the grasses in front of the tree.

Great photos Mike, and it looks like y'all had a great time.
I'm surprised there is that much color this late in the season. There was a little color left two weeks ago in the Verde Valley, but in most places "leaf-peeper" season is long over.
