I can imagine that some of you guys are getting tired of these photo essays, but I can’t help myself; the show must go on. So for those that enjoy here are some pictures from the day we visited Van Gogh. We took the train to Harajuku Station. Entrance to Harajuku Station Then we went to Meiji Shrine We happened to be there just in time to see a wedding procession After leaving the Shrine we walked to the Museum to see the exhibition Entrance to the Galery Cant take any pictures in the gallery. After enjoying the exhibit we found that good art makes one very thirsty, so we headed to Ginza to have an ice cold beer in the Asahi Super Dry pub! The beer is so cold the tap is heavely frosted. After a beer and a snack we went for a walk in Ginza and enjoyed a lovely stroll down the main street. The End

What a mix of styles! The station looks like Bavaria, the old ceremonial wedding and many buildings look very Japanese, and the art gallery is fabulous - could be in a galaxy far far away. Great trip!
What did you have with the beer?

Oh, I LOVE your photo essays, Mike!
It's a wonderful trip in a land I've never visited.
Emi looks delightfully happy, as always. And you, Sir, sated and enthralled as well. I just love to hear of your travels and life together, clearly in a loving and cherished fashion.
I am so pleased and grateful that you allow us these glimpses into your lives.
Cheers!

Nice pics, as always. On my first visit to Japan, in about 1975, we visited the Meiji shrine — a beautiful place. How serendipitous that you caught the wedding procession. It's almost touching that the Japanese have retained the formal styles of Western dress which they originally learned to use on special occasions like weddings.
