True. I never been to Spain, but I been to Arizona.
No, actually I haven't been there either...but I do like Three Dog Night.
The person under me is watching an old movie they never even heard of before today. ("One Summer Love," from 1976, with Beau Bridges and Susan Sarandon. How'd I miss it?)

How could you be in Spain and not know it? Interesting metaphysical conundrum. So AS FAR AS I KNOW, I have never been to Spain.
The person under me will take a brisk walk today.

Jane, it's because great minds think alike!
And as for my question, about the person under me watching an old movie? and I said how had I missed the one I was watching? Yeah.....I didn't miss anything. THERE'S two hours I'll never get back. What a stinker!

That is true, I think. But I've sung the song with both Hoyt Axton and Three Dog Night. The person under me is considering a tropical vacation.

Yikes! I missed the whole next page again! Where are we? How about here? How could you be in Spain and not know it? Interesting metaphysical conundrum. So AS FAR AS I KNOW, I have never been to Spain. The person under me will take a brisk walk today. True. We call it "Doing the 100-yard dash" for 9 hours at work today. We stay open an hour later on Fridays. Is the person under me still planning a tropical vacation?

True
But what fog has Joe been navigating that he needs to distinguish between knowing and unknowing trips? Is there an acid trip in Joe's past?

True But what fog has Joe been navigating that he needs to distinguish between knowing and unknowing trips? Is there an acid trip in Joe's past? … For the record, I've never taken acid. Furthermore I've never been on any unknowing trips AFAIK.

Clearly, I was out of the loop, too. Remember when we had the rule to tell gailkate to be sure to Scroll Down? I guess we need another rule for Turn the Page.
Anyway, now I don't know whether Gracie saw a movie or not. The musical interlude was very satisfying, BB. Jane, I did take a brisk walk today, but I'm guessing you didn't, as your weather has been crummy. I'm not planning a tropical vacation because it's too much money and I couldn't take Jerry and the dogs. The dogs would gladly go, but there might be quarantine issues. Jerry wouldn't go if you drugged him and put him in a trunk.
And speaking of drugs, Joe still hasn't explained the unknowing trip to Spain. Though I've confessed to myriad wild and misspent college lapses, I never did anything truly mind-altering, but it's the only explanation for that unknowing trip to Spain.
Anyone know whose turn it is?

I have had the experience of forgetting what city I am currently living in. In my defense, we have moved frequently, and I am generally thinking Deep Thoughts and not the mundane ones that cement me in one location. And Joe is obviously also uncemented as he does not know where he is and only thinks he is in Boston. He is really in Spain. How's the weather?
The person under me is excellent at math.

True (though I very rarely have them). The person under me has never knowingly been in Spain. Well, it started with you asking this question, Joe. And now it has seemed to morph into folks believing that whatever question is asked is true for the asker, no matter what the askee answers. Conjecture IS the better part of conversation, you know.

And . . . back to the question: False. I'm really good at basic math, but the higher forms are just impossible for my brain. The person under me doesn't like to wear jewelry of any kind. Very, Very False. Earrings, necklaces, lapel pins, yes. Rings on my fingers, no, due to painful joints. As Madeline always said, "This getting old is not for the faint-of-heart." The person under me has not figured out the new icon for posting videos here.

The person under me went to church today (and in my case, enjoyed it very much. You?)

Post by gailkate on Feb 16, 2014 15:17:56 GMT -5
Nope. The churches we've tried say things we don't believe. So frustrating, as I rather like church.
The PUM knows all the words to "Come to the Church in the Wildwood."

TRUE. I love it. I always have.
I remember singing it at a church very like it, and then there was this, which would have made me love it even if I didn't, already....
The person under me loves TCM Oscar movie month (having just watched THE LION IN WINTER, and later this evening will watch A PLACE IN THE SUN.)

Man! I love that song.
"TCM Oscar movie month" however, is not on my radar. So, I guess I have to answer False.
The person under me will have a holiday day tomorrow, Presidents' Day.

False, though I have attempted to do so, many times. But I have read it a lot, underscored, all kinds of things. In fact I am one of the generation of little girls who earned a prize for memorizing all the books of the Bible, in order, and if you asked me I could still rattle them off today. Which does make for much easier Bible study.
The person under me is determined to finish at least ONE big project this year.

Well, TRUE. Thom has already replaced the pressure water pump, rebuilt the vacuu-pump system (that's the poop system, boys and girls) FIVE times, installed a new outside-vented propane furnace in the aft cabin, will be replacing all of the batteries (that's our entire electrical system,) will be rebuilding the galley, will be tearing off the canvas and replacing it with a hard-top on the fly bridge and replacing the aft-facing stairs with forward-facing stairs from the saloon to the flybridge thus giving us a third story usable year-round, plus the haul-out and bottom paint. That's this year. Granted it sounds like Thom is doing all the work, but he hates to work alone so I am The Help. PLUS, I get to live in a construction zone, so that should count as My Projects, too. But, MAN! What a treat! The person under me has already done their taxes.

Bill's done our taxes. Sadly, this year we owe. Only $38, but still. We aren't rich enough to get any tax cuts.
