I never did well with math, more liberal arts and natural sciences. My wife was a German major. Our daughter loved math and physics and became a mechanical engineer; beats me. The opposite of "The apple doesn't fall very far from the tree." My daughter always reminds me of this when she is bering stubborn. ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png)

Missed the first couple of poems. Are they all supposed to be funny? Maybe not funny, per se, but certainly they all seemed fairly clever. I tend to be more sincere than clever. drat that. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)

Sometimes I don't know who I like more, Pat or Fred. A burning passion! Didja hear that, slb? ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) I wonder if I need to re-read Moby Dick.

That's right, bl, the whale represents a burning passion. Now you'll regard Ahab's harpoon in a whole new light.

I liked this poem quite a bit, except that it gets too danged preachy at the end. Didn't like the end one bit.
