Nope. 13:00 IS 1:00AM when 5 hours are added to 8pm because 8+5=13. That's my story, and I'm stickin' to it. (Where did you get this 24-hour clock business??) ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) (1:00 PM is 1300 - long live the ::colon:: - whever it may bee)

OTOH Brit, max and blitherington, the KCTS television show from Seattle is at 10 pm Pacific Time, which I believe is 6 am in London, if you happen to arise earlier, and can figure out how to make the TV show stream audio for you.
If 6 am is too early, then Alaska time is one hour earlier than Seattle; if Anchorage is broadcasting at 10 pm, you'll catch it at 7 am in London.
Want one more hour of sleep? Try Honolulu, which is two hours earlier than the west coast - their 10 pm is 8 am in London.
I'll probably log on at 7 pm Pacific Time (or is it 8pm Pacific Time, since Nashville is Central Time?) to follow the Show Thread, then watch the actual TV show starting at 10 pm here.
Confused? I know I am. What was that 60's thing about "Tune in, turn on, drop out?"

I wondered for a moment if I have already missed the show, getting so confused about thirteen hundred hours! ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/eyesroll.png) But I think JoeW and the Doctor are right. Having re-read the link so thoughtfully provided by booklady I conclude Trusty was just trying to upstage me to keep me quiet this year. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) Ah well, back to under the duvet methinks.

As GMT spells the right time, it is now officially 2007.
Happy New Year to all my colonial friends.
Fireworks at Big Ben and the London Eye!

Thanks all!
The guy (no relation to Guy Fawkes) who prepares the fireworks is commenting that he is an artist.
And HOW!
He truly is.
If you get a glimpse of it, please agree with me. I so dislike arguments on New Year's Day!!!
Written and composed by Blitherington on my behalf.

Happy New Year, brit, and any other subjects of GMT who see this post.
You'll get no argument from me about the fireworks. I have no doubt they are spectacular.

Thanks for your kind remarks Joe and a Happy New Year to you and your brother.
We are subjects of the Queen (sadly, in my opinion, but that should be reserved for the Politics thread) but not subjects of GMT. We are not "citizens".
Thank goodness GMT was named after the Greenwich suburb and not the suburb of Putney.

I was quoting just the first two lines of a song.
But I expected a witty riposte to my comment about the suburb of Putney instead of Greenwich on the GMT themre.

Peoples is hanging out here without talking. What's up? Are we all silently waiting for the show to start?
I gave my husband the Roy Orbison "Black and White" DVD for Christmas. It's fabulous!! Are there any Roy fans here? One of the band members or backup singers referred to him as "the only operatic rock-a-billy" vocalist ever. So true!! I think I'm going to pour another glass of wine and go put that on to listen to.
Hey, any thoughts about 2006 as we watch it tick away? Any surprises for you? Regrets? Renewed acquaintances? (I had several, from high school, which happened because I registered this year on Classmates.com). How would you all rate 2006 in your pantheon of years? I guess I'd give it about a 6. Maybe, because of finding Dylan, a 7.

Now where do I find the chat channel?
DW I can't see where you made the link.

OK I eventually find and go into the chat thingy.
I sit alone in an empty room for five minutes, so I patiently and contemplatively sip my Scotch.
And then another contemplative sip.
Then another one, whilst I await companionship.
Still nothing.
I'm giving up comtemplating.

OK DW.
Now you know why Scotch was invented.
It allows you to modify your post a hundred times before denying you entry.

I sipped some single malt whiskey, when I had it, and I must admit that I was able to have visions then

I had a different experience. Instead of sitting in an echo-y chat room I had to restart my computer. Ever type too fast and accidentally cause all kinds of weird things to happen?

20-20 or double vision?
And this is top of the page in your honour Sir!
Bookie will be annoyed about this architecture.
Instead, I think I might just turn off my PC instead of re-booting as booklady delicately puts it.
