I'm glad you get so excited about giving blood, even being a bad stick. I do much better on the back-end of the needle and syringe than the pointy end.

I think it's a more complex and lengthy process to remove only the plasma portion of blood, as they return the remainder to your bloodstream.
I never had any problem with any other medical procedure, including a lot of medical practice that is not suitable for public disclosure. Just toenail injuries and removal of toenails. It's yucky.
