I learned today that you can have your own fat cells injected into your "private part" to make it bigger.... I was amazed! That's some of what goes on in Miami Plastic Surgery Mills, although they offer alteration of numerous parts. So Doc, how are you doing? Are you thinking of retirement yet back to North Carolina?

Yeah, Monday the 20th is the Full Moon, 22nd is the Equinox. I hate the autumnal equinox because it is the day that the nights become longer than the days, and they progress that way until the sun (doesn't) come out until noon and it sets by 3 pm for Christmas, or at least that is what is seems like. In reality, in the winter here in the farthest north city in the lower 48, sunrise is after 8 am, and sunset occurs by 4 pm. Terrible! Now that Howard has agreed to consider moving back east, I have broached the subject of moving to Uruguay. Yes, I have long wanted to move to Ecuador but had to acknowledge that it is on The Equator (hence the name), which means that all days are 12 hours long, all nights 12 hours long 365 days a year. I think we need to alternate between Uruguay and North Carolina because then ALL the days will be long year-round!

See above, we are thinking of moving back to the Blue Ridge, though it won't be for a while.
Retirement just doesn't seem to be in the cards. It has been less than a month since I quit the last job and I am bored all ready. I want to get back to "work" though they say if you love your work, you never work a day in your life.

By the way, did you folks celebrate Constitution Day yesterday?
Me, I reviewed my little Constitution booklet which I keep with me at all times, in case of a Constitutional emergency. Right there in my Little Black Book where I keep my maps in case of Geography emergency. Most of the time I also have a copy of TS Eliot's Four Quartets in case of a Poetry emergency.
I like to Be Prepared.
Jay, do you have the Constitutional booklet from Elko? I recall I got two copies and gave you one.

dw, how do you know you would not like Uruguay? Have you been there? I haven't, so I could be wrong in my impressions of daylight duration.
One possible problem - I think Uruguay is pretty flat, and I like mountains. We've considered moving back to Flagstaff, which is wonderful - one of the 10 sunniest cities in the US. But it is also in Arizona, which is weird.

GK could have an excellent bear if he simply purchased a Bernese Mountain Dog. They look a lot like bears, so they scare away bad guys, but they aren't bears - they are sweet and gentle DOGS!

Excellent work Jay! There seem to be way too many people who haven't read and do not understand the Constitution.
The one from Elko is the only copy of the Constitution I have here in WA, though there is probably at least one copy in NC.

I always like to pick up several copies of things like that if I happen to be around them. I have quotations from Washington and Thomas Paine. I still have my first copy of the Constitution and Declaration of Independence, it was a Christmas present from my piano teacher.

I like the United States also, but I have determined that does not prevent me from liking/loving/living in other countries
BTW, some people refer to "the Americas" and they mean North America, Central America and South America. Uwe Reinhardt told me that the definition of a Canadian is an unarmed American with health insurance. There used to be a website "Marry a Canuck" dedicated to those US citizens in need of health insurance.

Bthe way, I declared a geography emergency and hauled out my maps to check about the Uruguay daylight situation. It appears to be similar to that of Washington, DC. Not south enough for long days Nov - Mar.

Whenever I look at a flat world map, it always sort of amazes me how far north Europe is located. Of course, Florida is in the sub-tropics, so there you go.

I have noticed that same phenomenon Jay. In fact, the vast majority of the world's population lives north of the equator, and if you go to Paris, you will be shocked at how late the sunset is - later than Seattle and Bellingham!
I Shall Be Released - that is a great tune. Bob Dylan at his finest, along with Forever Young!
Some good news - in the midst of the geographic emergency I found a couple hundred dollars' worth of pound, euro, and Norwegian crowns! Yet another emergency covered (waking up and discovering a surprise - I am in Europe).
Y'all have a great week.
