Your brain will recover just fine BB. There are two tests, and you took the first one with 20 questions, then Booky posted a second test with 50 questions. Try this link:

Booky, I didn't know there is a new edition of The Tao of Physics, as the one I have is a paperback from 1975, which I bought at Esalen in the early 1980's when I took the seminar. I'll have to get the 2010 copy and review the updates.
Another writer in a somewhat similar vein is Norman Cousins (1915 - 1990), who is best known as a journalist and editor of The Saturday Review, as well as a peace activist. However, his book Anatomy of an Illness is a story of "how I cured my illness with laughter," but on a deeper level reflected his research into the biochemistry of emotions. He too was hanging out in California in the 70's and 80's, though not at Esalen, and certainly was well acquainted with Fritz Capra and Michael Murphy (the latter being a founder of Esalen Institute). All three of those men had a strong influence on my approach to the practice of medicine, as well as my faith.
Mike has written a number of books on the subject of mind-body influences, and what's loosely called The Human Potential Movement. George Leonard, one of his co-authors, is another person I worked with at Esalen. For me, meditation is a form of prayer. Here are some of Mike's books:
The Future of the Body: Explorations into the Further Evolution of Human Nature (1992)
The Life We Are Given: A Long-Term Program for Realizing the Potential of Body, Mind, Heart, and Soul (non-fiction, co-written with George Leonard) (1995)
The Physical and Psychological Effects of Meditation: A Review of Contemporary Research With a Comprehensive Bibliography, 1931-1996 (non-fiction, 2nd edition) (1997)
God and the Evolving Universe: The Next Step in Personal Evolution (non-fiction,co-written with James Redfield and Sylvia Timbers) (2002).
All of this is on a fascinating spectrum (to me at least) of exploring the link of religion, science, mind & body. I used to spend a lot of time in Big Sur at Esalen; Carolion and I figured out that long ago we probably met at Esalen!
