K - Krakow Poland - also spelt Cracow - but in Poland they use K.
Undoubtedly the most beautiful medieval city I have seen.
So far.

Sorry Thomas!
Lourdes is not a city in Europe as far as I can ascertain.
It is a town.
I know that you have a City in America which boasts the population of ONE, but we Europeans don't go in for that sort of thing.
London is a City - but it is only about a square mile.
What most people consider London is, is actually a metropolitan of many Boroughs and Cities. I will not elaborate, but we have got at far as L - one way or another!

Well, I stand corrected; thank you sir. Funny that I never really considered the United Kingdom part of Europe, either, but I see that it actually is. Regarding Krakow - I have an opportunity to go there next spring. I hadn't had strong feelings one way or the other as I know very little about it, but I assume you would recommend it?

Wassen, Canton Uri, Switzerland When taking the train through the Gotthard tunnel, you first see this church in Wassen from below. You go in to three tunnels; after emerging you see the same church from a different level and direction. I first saw it in 1969, and have since repeated the pleasure three times, including this past summer. When the new longer Gotthard tunnel is completed in a few years, the views of this church from the train will be history... full size upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/e/e0/Kirche_Wassen.jpg

Since ThoS skipped Y so that he could finish with a Z, I wonder to whom the honor of next topic belongs?
