And books, could you move the picture over to this page? I would, but then I'd see who it is.

This won't be tough but you might enjoy it. I went to an exhibit this afternoon of the photographs of Rowland Scherman. Don't know the name? He photographed some of the most influential people of the 1960's. If you go to his website, it's a simple "slide show" of some of his photographs. That's all -- just images constantly changing. You can play "Identify This Person!" just watching them go by. Before too long you should be able to tell why I wanted to go to the exhibit. Really -- it's great! Go have a look: rowlandscherman.com/

Okay, I've been reading this thread all over again (I SAID I wasn't going away and it's been so fun to catch up on so many things I missed and fun to read again stuff I loved before!) Oh this was wonderful. Just wonderful. Can't even see all the old pictures, though most of them show up but I have laughed and laughed and laughed at all our repartee. Funny thing, I ran into Doug Jon-ez (he was one I posted) at our college reunion in November and I told him I'd used him to stump everyone. He just roared with laughter at that one. Said he would never win an Academy Award because his work was just too weird. He was just on MTV'S "Teen Wolf" (which I do not usually watch and I bet you don't, either) as a serial killer. And that's an even funnier thing, because a kinder, sweeter, more sensitive and gentle man he could not be. Made me miss Brit all over again. I could have told him more about how McKuen's "Jean" came to be associated with "The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie." I don't know how I missed answering his wondering at the time. NOW THEN! Now that I have traumatized my puppy, laughing so uproariously! let's see if I can do this. Here is a personal favorite of mine. Very long and varied career. She was an identical twin. Any ideas?

The silence should give you a clue - can't even hazard a guess.

I guess it should, shouldn't it? I thought maybe this was just a game no one particularly wanted to play again.
This is one of my favorite authors, Laura Z. Hobson. Amazing woman. She was best known for writing "Gentleman's Agreement," which won all kinds of awards and which was made into a spectacular movie with Gregory Peck and Dorothy McGuire. I liked her last book best of all, which was called "Untold Millions" and which she wrote at the age of 82!
Anyone else want to post a guess who? Or shall we let this thread lapse again? I'm okay either way.
