Good news! You're already there so you won't have to worry again till.... when? I've been caught up in the possible complications of flying without asking about your vacation. Who will be there? Will you be doing any little jaunts or just basking in the rays of home?

I will mostly just be enjoying being at home with my family, with a few outdoor get-togethers with a very limited number of friends for variety. Maybe my husband and I will do other outdoor activities - concert in the local park, craft fair/festival (if not too crowded), walk/picnic in the park (if not too hot). Even pre-pandemic I was very much a homebody. I'd like to cook some favorite foods that my mother-in-law would not have wanted (tacos are high on the list) and tackle more decluttering (I'm feeling very motivated to get rid of stuff).
I've been home less than 24 hours and it has been glorious. My husband grilled out pork chops for dinner. I slept in my own bed. It's only in the low 70s here (vs in the 90s at my mother-in-law's) and so I am about to go for an afternoon walk.

Susan, I agree that the tie at the top of my head does cause a little messy hair, but given that I wore the masks all day every day at work, I decided it was worth it. Since I got my hair cut, the neck tie is no problem at all, and the top tie is minimal trouble. Now that I wear a mask only for brief indoor activities outside the house, the masks don't bother me at all. I even forgot my mask last week when I went to the doctor's office and wore an ear loop mask that was left in the car - for a few minutes, no problem.
I'm using my newly found increase in spare time to start decluttering this old house, bearing in mind that when we moved to North Carolina the first time, I missed almost nothing of what we left in this house. What kind of tasks are you focusing on Lirio?

In the interest of cleaning out my house, I inadvertently bought a 60-piece set of perfect 1950's era, starburst china for $15. How could I resist? And who would like any of my other four sets of china?

What kind of tasks are you focusing on Lirio? Pretty much everything. I've done some decluttering in the past, but there is a big difference between decluttering to have less stuff but stay where you are and decluttering to downsize to a smaller place. I am very much sick of cleaning this house and would love to move to a smaller house whenever we retire. To that end, lots of things need to go, starting with much of the crap in the basement. I'm going to be ruthless with my own stuff (starting with the box of Barbie dolls in the basement - well played with by me as a child and not at all collectible) and hope to motivate my husband to get rid of more of his stuff. Wish me luck!

My husband tends to keep receipts until from wherever the receipt has come has long since gone out of business and their grandchildren have also died.

I like and use Happy Masks. They are equivalent to KN95s, washable, with nose-wire. www.happymasks.com

Oh, I like the shape and write-up on the Happy Masks. I hate it when masks press against my nose and lips. I'll give them a go.

What are you doing about masking now that it's 2023 and the continual roll-out of new variants?
Thom and I are both double vaxxed and double boosted, with the boosters being the latest and greatest variant-updated. Because we live in Crinkleville, where everyone is double vaxxed but has some kind of autoimmune compromise, we continue to be required to wear masks when we leave our apartment. Masks are still required here in doctors' offices, pharmacies, and other healthcare facilities, like PT.
I continue to mask for the grocery store, post office, and every indoor venue where people are present. We usually don't mask in the office, but I don a mask every time an unmasked delivery person comes in, and on warm days (unusual in January, but available yesterday) I open my office window. It irritates me that UPS, FedEx, Amazon, and other drivers are not masked. It irritates me that people who work in my office have been to Italy, Sun Valley, Mount Bachelor, and many other places (flying and driving) and come back into our offices unmasked. One guy has had a nasty cough for months now.
It really irritates me that people in our office aren't washing their hands, even after using the bathroom.
So, whaddaya think? Is "The Pandemic" over?

The pandemic isn't over but I guess I've reached an even keel where disease evasion is not all-consuming. Immensely easier since I am no longer seeing sick people all day long every day. I've had all my immunizations and I think Howard has too.
Hand washing or some sanitizing depending on facilities is basic hygiene with or without Covid, but there are always some who don't comply.
I wear a mask as required at the doctors' offices. I'll decide about mask or not for travel and group events. The situation is fluid.
